NAKYO Trip to the Sargent Camp Center for Outdoor Education

N.A.K.Y.O. Sargent Camp TRIP INFORMATION
The North American Knanaya Youth Organization is hosting a trip to the well known, team-building program, known as the Sargent Center for Outdoor Education. This program was established in 1912, and is run by Boston University. The camp was founded, “to help people and organizations grow through positive learning experiences in the outdoors.”
The NAKYO has sent groups there in the past with great success! This event is an amazing opportunity for everyone to work with one another, make new friends and have a GREAT TIME!!!
Day’s Itinerary:
10:30 – 11:00 AM: Arrival at Sargent Center
12:00-1:00 PM: Lunch (Paid for by NAKYO)
1:00-4:00 PM: Outdoor teambuilding, Sargent Center-designed activities.
4:00-5/6:00 PM: Free time for boating and sports: Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer

DIRECTIONS:
From: METRO WEST/BOSTON AREA: (Auto/Van Route During Non-Rush Hour)
Route
128 to Route 3 North.
Route 3 North to Exit 8 west, 101A (Milford, Peterborough, and the Monadnock
Region).
After
6.4 miles, take LEFT onto ramp for 101 West. Follow Route 101 West into
Peterborough.
In Peterborough, 2.2 miles past the traffic light, take RIGHT onto Union Street.
There’s a blue
Boston University Sargent Center
sign 300 yards before the turn.
Drive 1 mile on
Union Street. Take
LEFT onto Windy Row. (Look for BOSTON UNIVERSITY SARGENT CENTER
and Overlook Farm signs). Drive 3.4 miles. Take LEFT onto Sargent Camp Road at
red BOSTON UNIVERSITY SARGENT CENTER sign. At bottom of short hill, take LEFT
into parking lot. After parking your vehicle, walk to the Main Office or
Northern Lodge for check-in. Coaches and School Busses: Keep RIGHT in parking
lot, drive through gate, and discharge passengers in front of office.

Route 2 West to Exit 24B, Route 140 North (Ashburnham, Winchendon).
Route 140 North to Route 12 (LEFT at the STOP sign) to Route 202 North,
following the cutoff just before downtown Winchendon labeled "To North Route
202."
Route 202 North into Peterborough.
At traffic lights, LEFT onto Route 101 West.
Drive 2.2 miles. Take RIGHT onto Union Street. There’s a blue Boston University
Sargent Center sign 300 yards before the turn. Drive 1 mile on Union Street.
Take LEFT onto Windy Row.
(Look
for BOSTON UNIVERSITY SARGENT CENTER and Overlook Farm signs).
Drive 3.4 miles. Take LEFT onto Sargent Camp Road at red BOSTON UNIVERSITY
SARGENT CENTER sign. At bottom of short hill, take LEFT into parking lot. After
parking your vehicle, walk to the Main Office or Northern Lodge for check-in.

North on Route
91 to Brattleboro, Vermont.
Take Exit 3 (US-5/BRATTLEBORO/ VT-9 E/ KEENE N.H.).
Drive halfway round the traffic circle onto VT-9 East heading to Keene.
Cross bridge into
New Hampshire. Drive
through 5 traffic lights onto 101 East. Continue on 101 East through Dublin and
through the blinking yellow light at Route 137 junction. Take LEFT onto Union
Street. There’s a blue Boston University Sargent Center sign 300 yards before
the turn on a long downhill grade. Drive 1 mile on Union Street. Take LEFT onto
Windy Row. (Look for BOSTON UNIVERSITY SARGENT CENTER
and Overlook Farm signs).
Drive 3.4 miles. Take LEFT onto Sargent Camp Road at red BOSTON UNIVERSITY
SARGENT CENTER sign. At bottom of short hill, take LEFT into parking lot.
